Good Things are Going to Come

There is always a turning point. Yes, I know this. But it depends on where this turning point is pointing. It either turns to the good or bad. But when it’s been bad, it gets good. That’s what an optimist would say.

Life is not fair and it takes a little something to make it through life. Hope. Hope can be a dangerous thing. At the same time, it is a good weapon to have in your arsenal. I do not know the words that can best describe hope but I know hope is life; and when it’s gone, life is meaningless. Hope is the weapon you need to fire on, to stay in the race, and to help you get over the finish line. It’s important to have it.

I wonder how people rule out others because they are not doing well just yet. There are no umpires to the life game. No one can rule you. If there’s anyone who can rule you out of the life game, it is you. One thing I’ve learned in the past years is that you have to unapologetically bet on yourself before any other person can. It’s the ingredient for success. And when people rule you out, be as stubborn as ever and give life hell so that it can know that has to bend your way. Reminds of the great Jacob story; of his fight with an angel.

It does not matter how many mistakes you’ve made, how many opportunities you’ve missed, how many times you’ve been written off; as long as you keep fighting, things will get better. That’s the spirit you need. It may seem that things are not working but you need to work as hard as you can. Do not let anyone make you feel like you’re not going to get there. Shut out the little voice in your head telling you you don’t deserve the good things in life. You do! Life happens and it happens the way you prepare for it. If well prepared, then the good things that you deserve are on their way. It’s going to happen for you.
